How Google decides who shows up
Google has said local results are based mainly on three things: relevance, distance, and prominence. Relevance is how well your profile matches the search. Distance is how far you are from the person searching, or from the place they named. Prominence is how well known your business is, which includes reviews, links, and how active and complete your information is.
We work on relevance and prominence. Nobody can change distance, and nobody can pay Google for a better local ranking. Anyone who promises you the top spot is promising something they do not control.

How long until I see changes on the map?
Google says most profile edits are reviewed within about 10 minutes, but some take up to 30 days. Where you show up depends on your area and competition, so we will not promise a timeline Google controls.
Do I need a storefront to have a profile?
No. Service-area businesses that go to the customer can have a profile with the address hidden and service areas listed instead.
Can you put my city in my business name?
Only if it is part of your real, legal business name. Adding it just for ranking breaks Google's guidelines and risks suspension.
Will I lose ownership of my profile?
No. You stay the owner. We are added as a manager, and you can remove our access at any time.
Can you guarantee the top three?
